Android Educational Game App

Android applications available in the market today cater to users of all age groups. A key group in this market would be parents. A smartphone is no longer a rarity. Parents are increasingly technologically savvy and children, young or old, are extremely taken by this box of magic. In view of this, I will review pescAPPs’s Kids Educational Game 3.
I will review this application based on 3 criteria:
1. User friendliness
This application is extremely user-friendly. As the screen loads up, the home screen shows the 12 different kind of games and its’ picture clearly dictates what game is it. Furthermore, there are no unnecessary images in each game thus giving the user that use the app a better focus on the game and prevent children from getting distracted off the task.
2. Interesting in-app components
The application boasts 12 in-app games for the child to explore. Not only are these games fun and interactive, they are also educational. In view of not being too long-winded, I will share on 3 of the games I found to be most interesting.
• Spelling!
spelling
This game reinforces a child’s learning while engaging them with interactive features such as the “drag and drop”, striking colors and cute pictures relevant to the word being spelled. This is a good practice for toddlers, best suited for the age of 2-5, as they discover new words.  An additional feature parents may appreciate is that the game also provides the pronunciation of the word spelt.
• Drag the correct Shapes!
Shape
Parents with younger children may not find the spelling game to be of a suitable difficulty level. Hence, this game may be a better alternative. It engages the child with pictures and shapes and is best suited to for toddlers aged 1 to 3. Similarly, it also has a drag and drop feature for the shapes and thus making it interactive.
• Oh the good old classic Picture card memory!
Memory
I still remember the time when I used to play this game using the cards from the Donkey card game. Children in this generation are lucky to have this as an app. This game allows them to build up their memory and train their level of focus.  Furthermore, I feel that it is suitable for users of all age groups as there are 4 levels of difficulty for you to select (The 2x4, 3x4, 4x5 and 4x7).
3. Holistic experience
As a whole, the games on this application are highly educational and promote positive learning. Key features of the games that promote positive learning are 1) encouraging animations 2) colorful and attractive interface. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring this application.
• Give a sense of accomplishment
You win
For most of the games, example the spelling game, there will be a clapping sound each time the user get a correct answer and after completing it, a “You Win” animation will appear and thus giving the user a sense of accomplishment.
• The interface is very attractive and colorful
home
Children love colorful pictures and animations. Colors are one of the things babies learn first after being born! The cartoon images are funny looking characters that can catch the children’s eye.  For children, they are the opposite of adults. They prefer design than gameplay.
4. Conclusion
Kids Educational Game 3 is the perfect app for preschoolers. It contains a great combination of games into one app. It’s an app to learn, to play and also practice on. "Wah! What a game!". I give it a 4 stars for the app’s attractive interface, design and gameplay. There are a lot more things from the app that I did not discuss. To know more install it and be amazed!
